A member of the ORIGINAL STROLLERS QUARTET, William G. Wells, baritone and pianist, is considered one of the best soloists on the Chautauqua platform. As a pianist he is a strong factor in the variety of the company.
Listed as W.G. Wells (57, NC) in 1930, with his wife and sons John, Herman and Edward.
Living with the family of his son John T. Wells as Billie in 1940 and as William in 1950.

YADKINVILLE
William Green (Billy) Wells 79 yr old retired farmer died at his home in Yadkinville at 6 am yesterday. He bad been In declining health tor two years. Mr Wells was born In Yadkin County March 13, 1873, a son of the late Mr and Mrs John Wells. His wife Lulu Lash Wells died in 1931. Mr Wells was a member of Turner Creek Baptist Church.

Kannapolis Man's Mother Died At Cana Last Friday
Kannapolis, June 15,- Friends of Alonso Wells, this county, will regret to learn that his mother, Mrs. Lula Lash Wells, 55, passed away at her home near Cana Friday evening at 9:30 oclock.
Mrs. Wells had been in declining hesith several weeks and confined to her bed, in a serious condition, five days. She was the wife of William G. Wells.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. A. W. Eller, of Wilkes county, and Mrs. Esther Johnson, ot Davie county, and five sons, Johnny, Herman, and Edward Wells, of Yadkin county: Alonzo Wells, of Winston-Salem, and Willie Wells, of Cabarrus county.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Turner Creek Baptist church by Rev. James Gross. Interment was in the church graveyard.
