Background

I began researching my genealogy four decades ago as a personal interest after my mother-in-law passed away, leaving behind a box of notes, photocopies, and hand-sketched family outlines. I decided to organize them, and over the years, my passion for the subject has deepened. My skills have grown alongside advancements in technology, expanding the ways to uncover information—both online and through a variety of sources and locations. Interest in genealogy has also increased during this time, though many unsupported guesses and assumptions from novice hobbyists are now easily shared on the internet.

Throughout my research, I’ve connected with dozens of previously unknown relatives and fellow researchers investigating common ancestors. In addition to joining the Mayflower Society and the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), I helped my wife join the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). I've also assisted others in resolving long-standing family history issues, particularly those involving common names in specific locations and time periods.

My enjoyment of the challenges in solving ancestry puzzles led me to develop family trees for friends and acquaintances who expressed an interest in their own family histories. Now, I would like to share my experience and expertise with others.

With an engineering degree and a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, I am able to organize your information and efficiently pursue investigations to achieve the best results in a short period of time. Genealogical research typically begins with your oldest living relatives and continues based on what you learn along the way. This is why working with someone who has already navigated many of these paths can be beneficial.

Services

• Quick Start Package ($250): Includes an hour-long interview to understand your starting point, plus up to four hours of research. This typically establishes the first several generations of ancestry. Deliverables include a family tree chart, a family history report, and individual person sheets. More complex family histories can also be presented in book form or as a website.
• Membership Applications: I research and submit applications for membership in organizations like the Sons or Daughters of the American Revolution (SAR/DAR) and the Mayflower Society for individuals with the appropriate ancestry. I also perform investigations to verify eligibility.
• Extension Research: For those with existing family outlines, I offer consultation on an hourly basis or a fixed-rate research option to achieve specific objectives.
• Communication can be conducted via phone, email, or online platforms such as Skype, Zoom, or Webex.
